Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions – please have a look through here. If you can’t find an answer to your query please contact us.

 

Q: How long can you hold a date for us?

A: We are happy to hold a date without deposit for 7 days

 

Q: What time is music allowed until?

A:Our entertainment license runs until Midnight on Saturdays and until 11pm from Sunday to Thursday

 

Q: What time does the bar close?

A: 20-30 minutes before the end of the party

 

Q: Can we bring our own drinks?

A: You can supply your own wine, sparkling wine and champagne – we will charge corkage on this

 

Q: Do you have outside caterers?

A: No. All our catering is done in house with the exception of the wedding cake 

 

Q: Can we have a live band or a DJ?

A: Yes. Both if you like. All amplified music takes place in the Dining Hall. Any paid performers must have by law public liability insurance and all electrical equipment over 12 months old must be covered by a valid PAT certificate

 

Q: Can we have a band in the marquee?

A: The marquee is not licensed for live music, but you can have background music all evening or acoustic performers until 21:00

 

Q: Do you have a ceremony license

A: Yes we do - there are two rooms to choose from:

  • the Garden Room which seats a maximum of 100 people.  You can also use this room with the ceremony taking place in the garden with guests seated outside
  • the Dining Hall which seats a maximum of 70 people.

 

Q: Can we have confetti?

A: Natural petals only – fresh or dried

 

Q: Can we have candles?

A: No naked flames – only candles completely covered by lanterns, or tealights in jam jars (a little sand in the bottom prevents the bottoms of the jar burning the tables!)

 

Q: Where do people park?

A: There is a guest car park adjacent to the farmhouse garden with parking for over 100 cars; B&B guests can park on the driveway and outside some of the accommodation

 

Q: Can we feed the animals during our stay?

A: We feed the animals every morning meeting at 8:30 at the little house on mushrooms stilts. 

 

Q: Can you cater for special diets?

A: Yes, with a little notice we can usually do anything

 

Q: Do you have travel cots and high chairs?

A: Yes, we have 6 high chairs and supply travel cots free of charge in Blue Room, Panelled Room, Studio, Cider House & Apple Loft – we do not supply linen for these

 

Q: Do you have Garden Games?

A: We do have some garden games and you are welcome to use these free of charge. They include Giant Jenga, Giant 4 in a Row, a Coconut Shy (please supply coconuts!)

 

Q: Can we have a bonfire?

A: Yes. We can supply a bonfire – we charge for this. John is a keen bonfire builder and makes them big!

 

Q: Do you have camping pitches?

A: Yes, for a weekend wedding these are included.  For additional nights these are charged for per pitch per night. There is a composting loo and mains water in the field, with a heated shower block with hot showers and flushing loos next to the café. Campers can also book in for breakfast if required at an additional cost.  Click here for more information.
