Exterior

Huntstile Farmhouse offers ample car parking space, some is within easy access to the main entrance and some is in the field adjacent to the farmhouse garden.

The parking area near the house is slightly sloping with well-maintained concreted surface. At night the outside lighting is provided.

The entrance to the B&B is a short walk from the car parking area down a gently sloping pathway, leading down to a level paved and concreted path in front of the porch.

There are 2 guests rooms accessible from outside (see below Bedrooms 4 & 5) one is up a short flight of wooden steps and one is on the ground floor.

Interior

There are three guest bedrooms on the first floor. There are fourteen steps up a wide wooden spiral staircase to the landing and first floor bedrooms. There is a handrail on the left-hand side ascending.

Bedroom 1 Panelled Room:

• Double guest room on the first floor with en-suite shower room consisting of a long shower enclosure with height-adjustable shower head; small wash basin with twist taps and WC.
• The bedroom has lighting at the bedside and there is a range of storage at various heights available.
• There is a flat screen television and DVD player both with remote control.
• Bed is 6’ width superking-size double.

Bedroom 2 Blue Room:

• Family guest room on the first floor with en-suite bathroom consisting of roll topped bath with shower/tap attachment and electric shower over with height-adjustable shower head; large wash basin with twist taps and WC.
• The bedroom has lighting at the bedside and there is a range of storage at various heights available.
• There is a flat screen television and DVD player both with remote control.
• Bed is 6’ width superking-size.

Bedroom 3 Cream Room:

• Small double room on the first floor with en-suite shower room consisting of double shower enclosure with height adjustable shower head; large wash basin with twist taps and WC.
• The bedroom has lighting at the bedside and there is a range of storage at various heights available.
• There is a flat screen television and DVD player both with remote control.
• Bed is 4’6” width standard double.

Bedroom 4 Apple Loft

• Family guest open-plan apartment with mezzanine floor. Accessible from outside up a flight of 9 wooden steps with hand-rail.
• Entrance door into sitting room comprising sofa and daybed (can be bunk bedss), kitchenette with under counter fridge with icebox, sink, oven and hob, food prep area with open shelving under, electric oven and hob, microwave.
• There is a flat screen television and DVD player both with remote control.
• There are 9 steps up to the sleeping mezzanine with en-suite shower room consisting of single width shower, large hand basin with twist taps and WC.
• The bedroom has a 5ft wide king-size bed with lighting at the bedside and a single bed.
• There is a range of storage at various heights available.

Bedroom 5 Cider House:

• Accessible from 2 points to guest bedroom:

1)      Two steps down to gravelled area, though double solid wooden doors and down steps to sitting room. A further 6 steps takes you down to the double guest bedroom – or

2)      Down a sloping gravelled driveway around at the side of the house there are double French doors leading straight into the bedroom at ground floor level. Wheelchair ramps areavailable;with en-suite shower room consisting of corner shower enclosure with small step up into, grab rails, height adjustable shower head; large wash basin with twist taps and WC.

• Mobility aids are available (heightened toilet seat & frame around toilet and shower chair)
• The bedroom has lighting at the bedside and there is a range of storage at various heights available.
• There is a flat screen television and DVD player both with remote control.
• Bed is 5ft” width king-size double.

Breakfast Room:

The Breakfast Room is located in the Coach House on the drive way adjacent to the Apple Loft. The room is well-lit and has room for manoeuvrability. There is a uni-sex W.C. available down 3 steps.

Dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.

Additional Information

Huntstile Farmhouse has an audible linked fire-alarm system in every room. If specific requirements are needed in event of an emergency, please discuss this with us on your arrival.

For functions at Huntstile:

There is a specially fitted, fully wheelchair accessible uni-sex toilet for access on the ground floor off the dining hall and marquee with high-level toilet with spatula flushing lever handle and hinged support grab rail and horizontal grab rail and wash basin with lever action taps and vertical grab rails either side.

We would like to advise our guests that we are committed to the issue of disability access but this is restricted due to the structure of the listed, period building. Huntstile Organic Farm will continue to assess and improve where possible disability access whenever opportunities become available.
