At Huntstile Farm we know the meaning of a relaxed and friendly atmosphere - it's how we live. You can hold your wedding reception here in the farmhouse for up to 50 guests or in our events marquee in the farm garden for up to 100. We have straw bales, tables & benches available for seating and dining outside too. |

HAND-FASTINGS In 2005 we built the Stone Circle for Fran & Rachel's Druid hand-fasting ceremony. Built from ancient staddle stones, the Circle lies on the edge of a wood upon a hilltop with breathtaking views across the county. (We even have a Druid priestess to perform the ceremony if required) |

We have two basic options, there's not much difference between them price-wise but the flexibility is there for you and, if you have friends or family arriving the evening before your wedding, this will help you towards the hire charges. The first costing will give you exclusive use of the farm (apart from us workers of course!) These are a starting point for you to build upon - anything is possible!
Option 1: Exclusive
Hire £2500
Exclusive hire of Huntstile Farmhouse accommodation for Friday
& Saturday nights including: The Panelled Room (king-size
bed, en-suite shower room), the Blue Room (king-size + 1 single
bed) shares a bathroom with: the Cream Room (twin beds), the Apple
Loft (king-size bed + 1 single en-suite shower room + 2 bunks)
& the Cider House (king-size bed, en-suite shower room + 2
bunks if required). Breakfasts are also included for guestsstaying
in the farmouse accommodation.
If you choose this option, then we can offer you the use of the gardens, garden frame marquee*(see below), bar-b-ques, camping area at the top of the garden & in adjacent field & the use of the 2 rooms on the ground floor of the farmhouse for an additional £500.
Option 2: Wedding
Reception £1500
For the hire of the gardens, 2 rooms on the ground floor of the
house, 1 double bedroom in the house, use of the stone circle,
camping area at the top of garden & in adjacent field site
for the day & evening of the wedding allowing for two days
setting up & decoration in preparation and a day to remove
marquees etc.
Additional rooms required will be charged extra and any rooms
that are not booked may be let to guests not attending your wedding.
Booking &
Deposit
If you decide you like what you see and would like to book, we
require the Option 1 or Option 2 payment as a deposit upon booking
- please note this is non-refundable and will secure your weekend
for you. All other monies are to be paid one month prior to your
celebrations taking place. Please note that due to increased food
inflation prices are subject to change.
Info
All food is bought locally and organic where possible (if you
require fully organic then please contact us for prices). We use
paper napkins and include cutlery, crockery and seating for up
to 50 guests. Any additional tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery,
glasses, linen napkins etc. will need to be hired in at cost,
which we can organise for you. We will provide a hot water urn,
tea, herbs teas, coffee, milk & sugar for your guests to make
themselves hot drinks during the day and I can also supply drinking
water & glasses (if you prefer, we can supply waitresses for
this purpose). If you are using the 2 ground floor rooms we can
provide sofas and chairs in one of them for any guests who may
like to sit quietly for a while, which is usually a good idea
for guests who wish to take a bit of time out from the party.
For those wishing to use the Stone Circle, we provide our own
confetti which is 100% natural & bio-degradable, there is
ample provided for everyone.

Marquee* (included in Option 1 but
not in Option 2- prices as below)
We have a party frame marquee (new this year) 20 x 60ft that we
can erect on the back lawn. The marquee is in 3 sections laced
together, so if you only require 20 x 20ft or 20 x 40ft that will
be fine. The cost of hiring the basic marquee with no decoration
is £250 for 20 x 20ft, £350 for 20 x 40ft or £500
for 20 x 60ft. You are welcome to hire your own marquee from another
supplier all we would require from you is a public liability insurance
note from them to cover any accident that may happen. There are
swags and linings that you can hire from South West Marquees.
Food
We have a wide selection of menus available at the farm, ranging
from a simple buffet or carvery to a full-blown 5 course medieval
banquet. All food is bought locally and organic where possible.
On a per head basis, our prices begin at £9 per head for
a simple buffet, £5.00 for cream teas, pig roasts from £6.50
and go on up to £50 per head for a full-on Medieval Banquet
with wandering minstrels, stilt walkers, jesters, jugglers &
fire-eaters.
Organic catering available on request, prices may differ. We can
also provide a fully licensed bar. (see below for price &
menu illustrations)
Waitresses
We can supply waitress service for you if would like the champagne,
cream teas or buffet served, this is provided at £6.50 per
hour per waitress.
Alcohol &
soft drinks
We can provide a fully licensed bar for your celebrations. If
you would prefer to supply your own drinks we do not charge corkage.
If you would like us to run a bar on your behalf this can be arranged,
we can supply bar staff ( x 2 min.) and glasses (hired at cost
price) with notice. The charges for bar staff are as follows :
£8.50 per hour until 11pm & £17 per hour after 11pm.
NB If we are providing
a full licensed paying bar the staff are not charged
Loos
Someone once said to me that you can never have enough loos at
a wedding - and it's true! We have one downstairs toilet for guest
use and require hiring in Portaloos for over 35 guests at the
rate of 1 per 50 guests. These are charged to you at £50
each, available from Brandon Tool hire Bridgwater 01278 425542.
Brandon's also hire out generators, lights etc. They will deliver
and collect.
Stone Circle
If you wish to celebrate a hand-fasting, the Stone Circle including
transport to and from for guests can be arranged for you at a
cost of £225. The ceremony can include friends and family,
however if you wish to employ the services of an experienced hand-fastener
we can recommend several for you.
