We stumbled across Huntstile whilst looking for wedding venues and what a find!. The first time we went and looked round we came away knowing that we had found the place of our dreams. It is such a beautiful place and full of character
You have to go!
We had the most perfect wedding weekend. All our friends and family loved it, the rooms were amazing and Lizzie all her family so welcoming (and tolerant!!). The food is out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble and we all felt so relaxed- I was so calm on my wedding day thanks to the lovely relaxed atmosphere.
I will treasure the memories of the day made all that more special by perfect hosts and a perfect setting...

We had a fabulous day. Everybody has been raving about what a great time they had, the lovely food, the haytruck and the beautiful location. We couldn't have hoped for a better day and are trying to encourage our friends to get married here too!

Six of us stayed here on our way to Cornwall. We all loved it. The rooms were lovely, velvet bedspreads and big cusions and nice eco friendly shower gels and soaps were provided.
The farm was very easy going and you could wander around and come and go as you pleased. We all had a really good three course meal cooked by the lovely Sam, with nice organic wine. Breakfast was equally as good and we were entertained with farm stories from the lovely Lizzie (the owner). It was nice to hear the animals on the farm were pets. There were chicks a few days old under a heater in the dining room (watching us eating our chicken dinner). The farm dogs all walk with you everywhere you go.
We would all have stayed longer and will definately be back.

My childhood holidays all over again! We had animals to feed, eggs to collect from the hen-house, walks to go on, gardens to play in...and the ever accommodating and friendly Lizzie and John making us feel so well looked after. The atmosphere here is so relaxed and informal that we found ourselves invited to an impromptu barbecue until well past bedtime alongside friends, guests and locals, complete with Guy Fawkes style fire and plenty of local cider.
We just didn't want to come home.

Thank you so much! We had such a fantastic time and have had so many brilliant comments about the place. Wish we could have booked in for the week!

What a fantastic operation you run - we all had such a fabulous time last Saturday. Yes, the weather helped but you are both so relaxed and there was just no panic - we all had a good time and certainly all the guests that I have spoken to enjoyed themselves. Venue, food, you name it, we couldn't fault it.
Thank you so much.

Huntstile could be called the Inn of Happiness!
We were looking at our son's wedding video and were hugely reminded what a wonderful time all had at Hunstile. Our hosts were tremendous. Lizzie had anticipated every need and certainly could have charged double and still offer amazing value.
I would love any excuse to visit the UK and stay at Huntsile and without hesitation recommend it to anyone.

I have run several music workshops and residential weekends at Huntsile Farm. The accommodation, service, food and general bonhomie has been second to none.
The setting is superb, nestling in the Quantock Hills with views over the Somerset Levels and the people who run the farm are outstandingly helpful and generous to a fault.
I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Had the most fantastic long weekend with my partner and our teenage girls ... As we spend a lot of time in London it was a delight to stay in this idyllic peaceful setting ... so relaxing, and we were made to feel at home from the moment we set foot on the farm .... The girls got involved with feeding the hens and even collected their own eggs for breakfast ! John, Lizzie and everyone we came into contact with were so welcoming and accommodating ... and as for the home cooked food ..... Brilliant !!
Highly recommended !!

Our group of 8 retired ladies who love walking and playing Bridge stayed here for 2 nights and we are already planning our return for next year. The accomodation was very different (in a good way) and all spotless. 2 of our party stayed in the Apple Loft; the lounge was big enough for 2 card tables and 8 chairs as well as the furniture that was already there, and as this is self catering accomodation, the fridge came in useful for our wine!
We had breakfast (with eggs collected that morning); and an evening meal freshly prepared from local foods and it was all lovely - Sam's home-made bread was wonderful.
The walks from the farm (accompanied by the farm dogs) and those in the Quantocks were superb and to be recommended to all. We will certainly return and would recommend Huntstile to anyone

Briliant choice for our wedding weekend.
Rooms were cosy and individual, and lovely and clean. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food was fantastic. Countryside surrounding was beautiful.
So brilliant that it was a working organic farm, kids really loved all the animals.

I just wanted to say a Huge Thanks from Haygrove for the lovely evening that you put on for us on Friday, so many have been saying this morning what a great night they had and at such a lovely venue!
— Marie (Haygrove School Teachers)
Thank you very much for what was our best weekend ever. We all throroughly enjoyed ourselves and appreciated all your hard work into making it happen and without a hitch.
The food was most delicious the accomodation was superb, comfortable and I only wish we could have had the week there. The children were very made up - especially at being allowed to get involved with the animals and being given complete freedom, which makes a nice change for them especially at a wedding.
Every single guest was very impressed with the farm and the surroundings and I hope you may get some holiday bookings in the future. I will spread the word!
Tim and I are very happy and could not have chosen a more perfect setting for our wedding. We loved every moment of it.
Thank you so very much and we hope to visit you for our anniversaries and any other excuse we have to come and stay or eat.
All our love
Tim and Joanna

Dear Lizzie & John,
This is just to say a big thank you for putting on an event for us on Saturday that Joan and I will long remember. We had a fantastic time from the reception through to the entertainment in the evening, not forgetting our little session on the Friday Night!! Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for you and your staff and all the accommodation and services were excellent. I know a lot of organisation has to go into these sort of events, so a big thanks once again and good luck for all your future events and success on the farming side.

I found this place after an exhaustive three month internet trawl looking for a venue which would accomodate a more relaxed style of wedding day. We both have a downright hatred of over priced, generic 'Mcweddings' and, sick of finding places that were expensive, tatty or overly corporate, I was coming to the end of my tether when I finally chanced upon Huntstile. What a find!!
We hired the place for the weekend and had a brilliant, brilliant time. Aside from the comfy beds, gorgeous venue and relaxed atmosphere, the key thing was the flexibility of Lizzie and her team. You could have as little or as much input from Huntstile as you liked. The staff were also very polite and the food exquisite...
We opted for the hire of a tractor up the hill for a blessing in the stone circle, followed by a skip back down to the farm for a pig roast, some amazing pavlova and a big old cheese layered cake to chow down on later. The sun shone, the doves flew above us and the prosecco flowed, as the gyspy jazz played on. Almost like a dream.
SO many people commented on what a gorgeous choice of venue it was and how much fun they were having (and how often their glasses were being filled!) My husband is a musician and there was no problem with us setting up a gazebo for an impromptu gig in the garden. We also plastered the marquee in home made bunting to make it unique to us. The thing I loved best was the fact that we could make it our own.
I would seriously recommend Hunststile to anyone who is thinking of an outdoor wedding. There are so few venues in this country where you can have the flexibilty to create the day you want without spending a fortune or having to travel miles between your ceremony and your reception. But this place allowed us to be ourselves - and as a result we had the most relaxed and chilled wedding ever!!! In fact we may go back for another blessing at some point, just so we can do it all again.
Thank you Lizzie and your brilliant team xxx
