We are Lizzie Myers & John Ridout.
Some of our farmland is already organic, all the rest in is conversion & licensed by the Soil Association.

What is Organic farming?

This is a beautiful area, with rolling hills and panoramic views across the county. We have our own Stone Circle, spring-fed lake & woods to explore. We grow a variety of vegetables, soft fruit, herbs, flowers and combinable crops like wheat, barley, oats and peas on over 700 acres of organic land. We also have a small herd of British White Cattle that produce very good beef & a flock of organic chickens that lay the most delicious free-range eggs in the world (probably).

John's father began farming at Huntstile in 1951. John was born in this very farmhouse along with 3 of his 4 sisters. Parts of the farmhouse date back to Henry VIII and we are rumoured to have our very own resident lady ghost, although we have never seen her ourselves.

We are both passionate about locally grown, well-produced, quality food - our lives revolve around it. Eating together is important! Preparing, cooking and sharing good food with our friends and family is one of our favourite ways to spend time.

Lizzie does serious cream teas in the summer with our own homegrown organic strawberries.

We love children and dogs-on-leads coming to visit us!
